Gimli Glider

Aviation Flying Furniture was contacted to create display items out of the real Gimli Glider Air Canada flight 143. On July 23, 1983, the aircraft had to do an emergency landing. It ran out of fuel at 41,000 feet and both engines quit. It did a life-saving feat to glide the aircraft and land at a close airfield in Gimli Canada. It definitely is something that stands out in the history of aircraft landings. All thanks to the captain and other pilots and crew who were in the aircraft, they were able to land the aircraft safely and save the lives of the passengers that day. Take that piece of history with you. Order any of these display items today for your home, office, or shop!
